CDW
CDW stands for
Collision Damage Waiver
If the rental car is damaged
this will cover the cost of
repairs. You will have to pay a
fixed amount towards these
repairs - the excess. The excess
will vary by country so please
check with Avis at time of
reservation. (This coverage is
also known as Loss Damage Waiver
(LDW) in Australia, New Zealand
and the USA.)

2.Insurances - TP (Theft
Protection)
This covers
the cost of replacing your
rental car (or parts of it)
if it gets stolen. You may
have to pay an excess, which
will vary by country so
please check at time of
resevation.

3. Insurances - Third Party
Liability
A compulsory insurance in
case you cause damage to
someone or something else.

4. Insurances - LDW
LDW Stands
for Loss Damage Waiver, and
it's what CDW is known as in
the United States, Canada, Australia
and New Zealand.

5. Insurances - What's an
excess?
An excess is
the first part of any
insurance claim that an
insured person has to
pay - it's sometimes also
referred to as a deductable.

6. Misc - One Way Rentals
If you plan to
return the car to a different
rental location you must let us
know in advance in your
reservation as a one way fee may
apply.

7. Misc - Young Driver Surcharge
Drivers under
25 may be subject to a Young
Driver Surcharge. Please
check country terms and
conditions when booking.

8. Misc - Optional Extras
Things like baby-seats, child
booster seats, ski racks, snow
chains etc. are available at an
additional cost paid when you
pick-up your rental.

9. Misc - Additional Driver
The rental car is insured for one person only. Should you wish to add additional drivers, then please do so when you pick up your car. There will be an additional charge for each additional driver which is payable at time of rental. A full driving licence for each additional driver (held for at least one year, three years in Cyprus) will also need to be provided at time of rental.
